2025 0314 Central Avenue Pavement Patching

In preparation of a detour associated with an Illinois Department of Transportation project to replace the bridge structure on Springfield Avenue over the North Fork of Kent Creek, IDOT's contractor will be performing pavement patching on Central Avenue between Auburn Street and IL-70 (Kilburn Avenue).Traffic control is scheduled to close the outside lanes of Central Avenue beginning Monday, March 17, 2025. The patching work is expected to be completed by Friday, April 4, 2025; however, the duration of the work is dependent on the weather. Please expect delays and consider alternate routes.
