We are happy to announce our new off-site voting center is now open at 1965 Harlem Ave, Loves Park, Illinois 61111.

Early voting for Winnebago County is now available at the Harlem location and 404 Elm Street, 5TH. floor, Rockford, Illinois, 61101.

Follow this link SCHEDULE for open dates and office hours. 

For your added voting conveience a ballot drop box is located outside the Winnebago County Administration Building at 404 Elm Street, Rockford.

You may deposit your Vote by Mail Ballot if you are a Winnebago County resident.

If you are a City of Rockford resident you may use their drop box located at 301 S. 6th Street, Rockford.

Write-In Candidate Declaration - In order to be a Write-In Candidate, a notarized Declaration of Intent to be a Write-In Candidate must be filed with the Winnebago County Clerk's Election Department no later than 61 days prior to the election. The last day for the March 2026 Primary is Thursday, January 15, 2025.

CAMPAIGN DISCLOSURE INFORMATION

The Illinois Campaign Disclosure Act applies to all candidates for public office, groups of candidates or political action committees (PAC) who have accepted contributions or made expenditures in excess of $3,000 within a 12-month period, in support of or in opposition to (1) a candidate or candidates for public office, or (2) any question of public policy to be submitted to the voters. Once the threshold has been reached, the Act requires that the committee file campaign disclosure documents with the State Board of Elections and, if applicable, the county clerk.  Find more information at Illinois State Board of Elections.
