Chairman seeking applicants to fill RAVE Board vacancy

Winnebago County Board Chairman Joe Chiarelli is currently accepting applications for a Rockford Area Venues & Entertainment Authority board member following the resignation of board member Howie Heaton.

Heaton was initially appointed to the RAVE Board in June 2014 and was reappointed to a consecutive 5-year term in June 2019. This resignation opens up a vacancy on the RAVE Board to fill the unexpired term through June 2024.

RAVE is the governing board for BMO Center and other venues under its supervision. The RAVE Board is made up of eight members, three of which being appointed by the County Board Chairman with the advice and consent of the County Board. There is no compensation for board members.
