Early In-Person Voting to begin for Winnebago County residents

WINNEBAGO COUNTY, Ill. – In preparation for the upcoming March 19, 2024 General Primary Election, the Winnebago County Clerk's Office announces that early in-person voting will begin on Thursday, February 8, 2024.
For Winnebago County residents residing outside of City of Rockford limits, in-person voting will take place at the Administration Building, 404 Elm Street, 4th Floor, Rockford, Illinois, 61101. Voting dates and hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Early voting will be conducted on weekdays starting Thursday, February 8 through Friday, March 8. Beginning Monday, March 11 through Friday, March 15, extended hours will be from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Additional voting dates and hours are as follows:
Saturday, March 9 8:30 a.m. to Noon
Sunday, March 10 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday, March 16 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Sunday, March 17 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Monday, March 18 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
"Voters may vote early before Election Day beginning 40 days before any election," said County Clerk Lori Gummow. "We want to give voters plenty of notice to allow ample opportunity to cast their ballots this spring."
The last day to register to vote for the March 2024 General Primary Election is Tuesday, February 20 and grace period registration and voting begins Wednesday, February 21. To check on your registration status please utilize the Illinois State Board of Elections Registration Lookup tool.
