Winnebago County Clerk’s Office to hold public test of voting machines

WINNEBAGO COUNTY, Ill. – A Public Test of the Precinct Tabulation Optical Scan Technology Equipment will be conducted on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 10 a.m. at the Winnebago County Administration Building, 404 Elm Street, Room 303 in downtown Rockford. As required by ILCS 5/24B-9, this test is open to the public to attend. These machines will be used for the November 5, 2024 General Election.

"We perform this test of the voting machines every election cycle to ensure the technology is operating precisely and accurately," said Clerk Lori Gummow. "It is the goal of the Elections Office to assure voters of Winnebago County that their ballots are being tabulated properly."
