WINNEBAGO COUNTY, Ill. – Following the General Primary Election on March 19, 2024 Winnebago County Clerk Lori Gummow announces the official certification of the election results, which are now posted on the County Clerk's website at clerk.wincoil.gov.
Per state law, the official results are not certified for at least 14 days following the election to allow for verification of provisional ballots and to record any vote by mail ballots postmarked on or before Election Day.
"I want to thank all of the voters of Winnebago County who exercised their right to vote in the March 19 General Primary election," said Clerk Lori Gummow. "I am proud of our staff, election workers, judges and poll watchers for their role in ensuring a smooth and efficient voting process. I encourage even more voters to join us this fall to cast their ballots for the General Election on November 5, 2024."
Voter turnout in Winnebago County was approximately 14.5% of registered voters. Other results and races are available by visiting the Election Information page on our website.
